I’m back…

Sorry for the absence, it’s been a while since I posted anything. I’m back. So, what’s new? I have been traveling around the country and doing a lot of JSF and AJAX (RichFaces) training. Just Yesterday I got back from LA, I was invited to present at LA JUG (http://www.lajug.org/). The topic was ‘Rich Internet Applications with JSF and AJAX’. I’ll have a link to the presentation shortly.

Thanks to Marco for inviting me, he heads the LA JUG. He also showed me around myspace.com office in Beverly Hills.

My Trip to Eclipse World 2006, Boston, MA

Just got back from Boston after being there for 3 days for Eclipse World 2006. I had two session, Leveraging JSF Components and Building Rich Internet Applications with JSF and AJAX. After chatting with people at the conference, one thing is for sure, more and more companies are choosing JSF as the framework to build enterprise Web applications. I also had a chance to chat with Jonas Jacobi (author of Pro JSF and AJAX), he basically said the same thing, more and more companies are using JSF. Virtually any new Web project is using JSF today.
At my second session, Building Rich Internet Applications with JSF and AJAX people really saw that JSF and AJAX are an excellent match because of JSF component model. I showed examples of using Ajax4jsf open source framework. I showed how to add AJAX functionality to a JSF applications without writing a single line of JavaScript code, people were very excited.
